1. An unclear first message

Your opening headline should explain what you offer and who it helps. Replace vague slogans with a clear service statement. A visitor should not need to scroll through several sections to understand your business.

2. Too many competing actions

When every button asks for something different, visitors have to decide what matters. Choose one primary action for each page, such as requesting an estimate, and make secondary links less prominent.

3. Slow, oversized media

Large images, autoplay video and unnecessary effects can delay useful content. Resize assets for their actual display size and review performance on a typical mobile connection. Keep decorative media only when it supports the message.

4. Awkward mobile layouts

Check text size, spacing and navigation on a real phone. Buttons should be easy to tap, and forms should fit the screen without horizontal scrolling. Test both portrait and landscape where practical.

5. Forms that ask too much

Ask only for information needed to respond. Mark required fields clearly, use suitable email and phone inputs, and explain what happens after submission. Confirmations should appear only when submission succeeds.

6. Missing trust information

Make your contact details, service process and business identity easy to find. Use genuine testimonials and work examples with permission. Avoid invented numbers or unsupported claims.

7. Generic service pages

Explain what each service includes, who it suits and what the next step looks like. A dedicated page is often clearer than a long list of unrelated services with no detail.

8. Broken links and confusing menus

Use descriptive navigation labels and check important links regularly. Visitors should be able to move from a service overview to the relevant detail page and contact form without guessing.

9. Poor readability

Short paragraphs, useful subheadings and adequate contrast make content easier to scan. Avoid placing small text over busy images. Write with the questions your customers actually ask.

10. No measurement or follow-up

Track meaningful actions such as completed enquiries rather than judging performance only by visits. Test the full contact journey and confirm someone is responsible for responding. Start by fixing the barrier closest to the enquiry action, then review the result.
